Imagination Workshops This program offers solo classroom presentations as well as assembles at selected schools. Imagination Workshop presentations give students a brief historical background for our music, an introduction to our instruments, and a picture of where and how period listeners were likely to have heard the music we perform. They also invite student descriptions of pieces illustrating particular sounds and moods, encouraging young listeners to describe music in their own language. Schools are provided with blocks of FREE tickets to Philomel home series concerts. This season Philomel offers services at public schools. All of the schools are within the city of Philadelphia and local suburbs. The National Endowment for the Arts is the lead supporter in Philomel’s quest to bring music to the next aspiring generations.
